Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

This policy explains how the free beta, billing, and refunds work. It is written in plain language and is not a substitute for independent legal advice.

1. The beta is free

During the 30-day free beta, no payment is taken and no card is required. Billing is handled manually — we only invoice you after your free 30 days, and only if you choose to continue on a paid plan.

2. Money-back guarantee on your first payment

Paying monthly: if your first paid month does not meet your expectations, contact us within that first paid month and we will refund it in full — no questions asked.

Paying annually: the same promise, measured from the payment rather than the month. Contact us within 30 days of your annual payment and we will refund it in full — the whole year, not one month of it.

Either way, the guarantee applies to your first payment on one salon account. After that window, §4 applies.

3. Who is making this promise

You are contracting with Saponly, a trading name of an unincorporated sole proprietorship operated by Shakib. It is operated from Bangladesh, and has no office or registered address in the UAE or elsewhere in the Gulf. These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh.

A guarantee is worth what the person behind it is worth, so here is the unflattering version: this is a one-person business, and if it stops operating there is no company to pursue. That is the honest reason the refund window is one month rather than a year — a promise that outruns the business making it is not a stronger promise, it is a less truthful one.

What reduces your exposure in practice: no card is stored with us, no payment renews automatically, you are invoiced one period at a time, and your salon data can be exported from your dashboard at any moment without asking us. The most you can ever be out of pocket is the single period you chose to pay for — one month on a monthly plan, one year on an annual one. That is the real trade you are making by prepaying a year, and it is the reason §2 gives annual its own 30-day window.

Saponly is not registered for VAT. Invoices carry no VAT line, so there is no input VAT for you to reclaim. If your own tax position requires a VAT invoice from a registered supplier, tell us before you buy.

4. Cancel anytime — no lock-in

There are no contracts. You can cancel at any time. After you cancel, your salon stays online for the remainder of the period you have already paid for; outside the guarantee window in §2 we do not pro-rate or refund unused time.

On an annual plan that means the rest of the year stays yours to use, and is not refunded once the 30 days have passed. We would rather you knew that before you chose annual than after: if a year feels like too much to commit to a business this young, pay monthly — the price per month is higher and nothing else about the product changes.

5. What Saponly does and does not promise

Saponly captures booking requests and assists your replies on WhatsApp. Every booking waits for your approval — Saponly does not confirm bookings on its own, and it does not guarantee any number of bookings, customers, or revenue. Refunds are governed by this policy, not by business outcomes.

6. Prohibited use

As set out in our Terms and Prohibited Services Policy, Saponly may refuse, reverse, or decline to continue billing for any account connected to prohibited use. Accounts suspended or terminated for prohibited use are not eligible for the money-back guarantee.

7. How to request a refund or cancel

Message us via the contact page from the email on your account. We action reasonable requests within a reasonable period.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
