What you're actually choosing between

The same job, three ways

One job, priced three ways: answering WhatsApp enquiries, quoting the right price, and capturing the booking. That is the slice Saponly covers — not the rest of a receptionist's day.

Agency and receptionist figures are our own estimate of typical Dubai prices, checked in 2026-07 — not a published survey: Saponly's July 2026 desk estimate of Dubai agency pricing for a bilingual WhatsApp bot (AED 5,000–15,000 setup + AED 1,500–5,000/month; AED 6,500 + AED 2,500 used as typical for an SME build). Voice notes and photos it can't make sense of are handed straight to you, with the original attached — it never guesses at what someone said.

One plan, so there is nothing to choose between. If your salon outgrows 1,000 conversations or 400 booking requests a month, message us and we will quote a bigger one.

No markup on WhatsApp.

Meta bills you directly for WhatsApp messages, at Meta's own published rate. We take no cut and add no markup — it never passes through us.

From 1 October 2026 Meta also charges for replies inside a customer's 24-hour window, at the same per-message rate as its utility messages. Meta bills your WhatsApp Business Account separately — the amount depends on your customers' country, the message type and Meta's rate at the time.

Saponly pauses its own automation at 1,000 chat windows a month, which limits the messages we send on your behalf. Meta's own billing is separate and is not something Saponly can cap for you.

So what does that actually come to?

Meta charges per message your salon sends, at its rate for your customers' country. Pick that country below to see the arithmetic at three volumes, including your plan's full conversation allowance. It is an estimate, not a quote: Meta sets the rate and can change it each quarter.

Customer conversationsMessages we sendMeta bills you
100A quiet month500$7.85
300A busier month1,500$24
1,000Your plan's full allowance5,000$79

Rate used: $0.0157 per message for United Arab Emirates, from Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform pricing calculator, checked 2026-09-30. Check it yourself — it's Meta's own page, not ours. whatsappbusiness.com/products/platform-pricing/

An illustration, not a limit: it assumes 5 messages sent per conversation, which we have not measured across salons yet. Meta bills every message delivered, so longer chats and the replies you send yourself add to it.

Appointment reminders are not in this table. They go out as WhatsApp utility templates, which Meta bills per message at the same rate, and only for bookings you have already approved.

None of this passes through Saponly, so there is nothing for us to mark up. That is the difference worth checking: a platform that bills you one combined figure is one you cannot audit — you can't see which part was Meta's rate and which part was theirs. Ours you can, because it isn't our invoice.

Every plan includes your own booking page

Services, prices, team and hours on one link — saponly.com/s/your-salon. Put it in your Instagram bio and WhatsApp profile. It keeps taking bookings even if WhatsApp is having a bad day, because it never touches WhatsApp.

What could a missed WhatsApp message be worth?

Not every unanswered message is a lost booking — most are price-checkers. So this only counts the ones that would plausibly have booked, and only the share a fast automatic reply would plausibly have saved. Move the sliders and see for yourself.

FAQ

Questions salon owners ask us

Will I lose my WhatsApp number or my old chats?+

We check your number's eligibility during guided setup. Where Meta's official Coexistence flow is available, you keep your number and your old chats, and WhatsApp keeps working on your phone. We confirm what applies to your number before anything changes.

Does it replace my website or Fresha/Zenoti?+

No — keep them. Your booking software runs the calendar; Saponly answers the WhatsApp questions that come before every booking (prices, services, directions) and collects booking requests for you to confirm. When your diary lives elsewhere, Saponly never promises a time is free — your team confirms every request.

Can I leave and take my data with me?+

Yes, any time. One click downloads everything — services, customers, bookings, hours — as a single file. No lock-in, and you can cancel whenever you want.

I already send my own promotions — what does Saponly add?+

Keep sending them. Saponly even drafts a ready-to-send promo message from your current offer. The real win: every promo blast creates replies — "how much?", "any slots?" — often late at night. Saponly answers each one, day or night, so the customers your promo brings in actually book instead of going cold.

Does Saponly auto-confirm bookings?+

No. Saponly never confirms a booking on its own in V1. Everything a customer requests on WhatsApp arrives in your dashboard as a request.

Can I approve bookings first?+

Yes — that's the default and only behaviour. Every request waits for you to approve, reschedule, or decline before the customer is confirmed.

Does it work with WhatsApp?+

Yes. We check your salon's WhatsApp number for eligibility during guided setup, then confirm the supported connection options before making changes. Saponly uses the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API.

My customers send voice notes. Can it handle those?+

Yes — in Arabic and in English. The voice note is transcribed and answered like any other message, so a customer who prefers to talk gets the same reply as one who types. If the audio is unclear, it doesn't guess: the voice note is handed to you with the original attached. It also looks at photos customers send — a colour, a style screenshot — instead of asking them to describe it in words.

Do you support Instagram DMs?+

Not yet — WhatsApp only for now, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight. WhatsApp is where the booking questions actually land for the salons we work with, and we would rather do one channel properly than two badly. Instagram DMs are on the roadmap; we don't put a date on things we haven't built.

Can it speak multiple languages?+

Yes. English and Arabic, with right-to-left rendering on the mini page. It replies in your salon's voice.

How much does it cost?+

US$99/month for the first 10 eligible Gulf founding salons, locked for the first 12 paid months. The standard plan is US$149/month. Guided setup is included. The 30 trial days start after a successful live test on your salon's own eligible WhatsApp number. Meta messaging charges are separate and may apply during the trial.

Will I receive a separate Meta or WhatsApp bill?+

Yes — from Meta, not from us. Meta messaging charges are separate from the Saponly subscription and may apply during the trial. The amount depends on Meta's current rates, message category and recipient country. We confirm the supported billing setup during guided setup.

Is it for small salons?+

Yes — small salons are exactly who we built Saponly for. Hair, nails, makeup, facial, and beauty studios across the Gulf. It's not a complicated salon ERP.

Will the AI invent prices or slots?+

It is built not to: Saponly answers strictly from the data you give it — services, prices, hours, employees, FAQs — and when it doesn't know something it says so and hands the chat to you. No AI is flawless, which is why you approve every booking yourself and can read every message it sent.

What about no-shows?+

Approved bookings can get 24-hour and 2-hour WhatsApp reminders — subject to WhatsApp template approval for your number — which helps cut no-shows. They go out when your WhatsApp is connected, your plan's included usage isn't used up, and (outside WhatsApp's 24-hour window) your reminder templates are approved by Meta. You always see the delivery status — and any failure — in the dashboard.

Is my WhatsApp number safe?+

Saponly runs through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform — no grey-zone automation. Where the official Coexistence flow is available for your number (we confirm during setup), you keep your number and old chats. You can disconnect anytime.

Will Meta ban my number?+

We use the official WhatsApp Business Platform — not unofficial browser automation, which is the usual cause of blocked numbers. Account quality still depends on compliant, customer-friendly messaging under Meta's policies; Saponly is built to keep you inside them.

Who is behind Saponly? Is it a real company?+

Saponly is founder-led — built and run by one developer who works only on salons, not a large support department. That is the honest picture, and it is also why you reach the person who wrote the software instead of a queue. Tap "Talk to support" to message directly.

What happens to my data if I leave?+

It stays yours. You can export or delete your salon's data whenever you want, and we never sell your data.

Can I talk to a real person before paying?+

Absolutely. Tap "Talk to support" and send us a message — no signup, no commitment. We'll answer your questions and even help you get set up.
