Watch it answer at 11:47 PM

One customer, one late-night question, one booking request waiting for you in the morning. No sound needed.

A customer messages Dubai Luxe Salon at 11:47 PM asking the price of a keratin treatment. Saponly replies with the salon's own price range and duration, checks Friday afternoon with Sara, and opens a booking request. In the morning the owner taps Approve on their dashboard.

The reality of running a small salon

You're losing customers in your own inbox

WhatsApp inbox is full

How many times a day does your team retype the same price, the same opening hours, the same "any slots tomorrow?"

You lose bookings to slow replies

And when nobody answers for hours, does that customer wait — or open the next salon's chat?

No-shows still happen

Manual reminders are easy to forget. Each no-show is real money lost.

Your existing tools don't speak WhatsApp

Booking apps want customers to install something. Customers won't.

We checked 50 UAE salon websites — 42 were readable

Customers message at night. A salon that answers by hand replies in the morning.

In July 2026 we tried 50 UAE salon websites; 42 could actually be read (8 were broken or blocked us). Of those 42, not one showed an AI receptionist, most hide their prices, and WhatsApp is the main contact channel — so a question sent after closing waits until someone picks up the phone. Every figure below uses n=42.

2:48 AM — answered while the salon slept

Method, July 2026: we attempted 50 UAE salon websites and could read 42; 8 were broken, JS-only or blocked us, and we do NOT guess what those 8 contained. All percentages use n=42. We checked only what a visitor can see on the public site: a visible AI receptionist, displayed prices, and WhatsApp as a contact route. We did not mystery-shop, and we publish no response-time measurement. Ask us and we'll show you the raw rows. It is a small check of public websites, not a survey of what salons want or would pay for. The chat below is an illustration of how Saponly works, not a real customer conversation.

Meet Saponly

An AI receptionist that actually understands salons

It knows your services, prices, staff and hours — so it answers the questions your team answers all day, and turns the ones that end in a booking into a request waiting for you.

Knows your salon

Uses your services, prices, staff and hours to prepare replies — and asks you when the answer isn't in your data.

Lives on WhatsApp

No new app. Customers message you on the same number — and Saponly answers without waiting for you to be free.

Captures bookings

Asks for the missing details and lands a clean booking request in your dashboard — offering real slots when it runs your calendar, or taking a preferred time when you keep your own.

You stay in control

Every booking waits for your approval. Saponly never confirms behind your back.

How it works

Your part takes an afternoon

That is your whole side of it: one WhatsApp chat and a photo of your price list. Going live then waits on Meta verifying your number and reviewing your reminder templates — typically 2–5 days, and we do that part.

  1. 1
    STEP 01

    Connect your WhatsApp

We help you set up the WhatsApp Cloud API on your salon number. No tech needed.

  2. 2
    STEP 02

    Add your salon

Services, prices, staff, hours, FAQs — once. Saponly learns from this.

  3. 3
    STEP 03

    Saponly answers customers

Inbound messages are answered automatically, without waiting for someone to be free.

  4. 4
    STEP 04

    You approve bookings

Every request lands in your dashboard — approve, reject, or reschedule.

  5. 5
    STEP 05

    Reminders for bookings you approve

We file your reminder templates with Meta as part of setup — Meta usually reviews them within a day. Once Meta approves those templates, 24-hour and 2-hour reminders go out for bookings you've confirmed, so you stop chasing by hand.

Live on WhatsApp

Your customer never leaves WhatsApp.

No app to install, no link to tap, no login. The conversation happens where your customer already is.

  • Replies in your salon's voice, in English or Arabic.
  • Quotes prices and durations from your own service list — and says it will check rather than guessing.
  • Offers real times when Saponly runs your calendar; takes the customer's preferred time when you keep your own.

Mini salon page

A clean, mobile-first page at saponly.com/s/your-salon. No website needed.

English + Arabic at launch

RTL-ready. Replies in English and Arabic, in your salon's voice.

Understands voice notes

Your customer records a voice note in Arabic or English — it listens, understands, and answers. Anything it can't make out is handed to you with the original attached.

Reads the photos customers send

A hair colour, a style screenshot, a picture of a product. It looks at what was sent instead of asking them to describe it in words.

Tells you what it couldn't answer

Every question it had to hand over is collected in one place, so you can answer it once and the AI knows it from then on. It gets better the more you use it.

One simple price

One plan, one price, no confusing tiers. Your first paid month is money-back.

Human handoff

When the AI is unsure, it pings you and gets out of the way.

Done-for-you setup

You don't set anything up. We do.

Nothing to install and nothing to configure. You answer a few questions on WhatsApp and send a photo of your price list; we show you the finished receptionist before it talks to a single customer.

You

Answer a few questions on WhatsApp.

We

We ask about your salon, your hours and your team — in a normal WhatsApp chat, in English or Arabic. No forms, no call required.

You

Send a photo of your price list.

We

We turn it into your services, prices and durations, and send them back for you to check. Wrong price? Tell us and we fix it.

You

Approve, and keep working.

We

We walk you through connecting your WhatsApp number (Meta's login is yours to complete, about five minutes), file the message templates with Meta, and switch the receptionist on. You keep your number and your website, and your chats too where Meta allows Coexistence for your number.

Where we are — and how fast we answer

Saponly is a small, founder-led team based in Bangladesh, building for salons in the Gulf. Our WhatsApp numbers start with +880 for that reason, and we'd rather you hear it from us than notice it later. What we commit to: you message a real person, not a bot or a ticket queue, and you get a reply the same working day — in English or Arabic. Try it before you sign up for anything.

Already have a website & WhatsApp?

Switch nothing. Keep everything.

Saponly is a layer on top of what you already run — not a replacement. Guided WhatsApp setup; your website, booking system and daily routine stay as they are.

Your number stays

We connect the WhatsApp number you already use through Meta's official flows. We confirm eligibility during guided setup — where WhatsApp Coexistence is available for your number, old chats stay and WhatsApp keeps working on your phone.

Your website & booking software stay

Keep Fresha, Zenoti, or any calendar you love — they run the diary. Saponly answers the WhatsApp questions that come before every booking and collects booking requests with the customer's preferred time; you confirm each one against your own calendar.

Your prices stay private

Don't want prices public on your website? Keep them off. The AI quotes your real menu one-to-one in chat — you stay in control of what's said.

Your data stays yours

Download your customers and bookings as spreadsheets, or the whole record as one file, any time. No lock-in. Cancel anytime.

When the app on your phone stops working

The receptionist doesn't live on your phone.

Saponly connects to WhatsApp through Meta's official Cloud API, so the work happens on our servers. Your handset being off, updating, or misbehaving is not what decides whether your customer gets an answer.

Replies are sent from the server

The customer's message arrives at Meta, our queue picks it up, and the reply goes back out — none of that runs on your handset. Your phone can be off, flat, or mid-update.

Your records aren't a chat history

Customers, bookings, notes and visit history are rows in your dashboard, not messages on one device — so they survive a lost, broken or replaced phone.

Take over from any browser

When you want to answer someone yourself, open the dashboard and type. The AI goes quiet for that chat. You do not need the app on your phone to be working.

What we can't do

If Meta restricts your WhatsApp number, nothing can be sent from it until Meta lifts that — it is their decision about your account, and we cannot appeal it for you. What Saponly does is tell you the moment it happens instead of you hearing it from a customer, and keep your booking page taking bookings, because that page never touches WhatsApp.

Halal-first by design

An AI receptionist that respects your values

Your receptionist is who greets your customers first. Saponly is built so it reflects your salon's values — honestly, and on by default.

  • Values-first, not bolted on

Saponly is built from the ground up for family-friendly, values-respecting salons — not generic e-commerce defaults with a filter added on later.

  • Prohibited services blocked automatically

Adult, escort, and other off-limits services are screened the moment you add them — rejected before they can ever be published, answered, or booked.

  • Checked on the way in — and on the way out

A request for something off-limits is blocked before the AI ever sees it. And every reply the AI writes is screened again before it is sent — if it doesn't pass, it isn't delivered, and the conversation is handed to you instead.

  • A modest, respectful tone

Replies stay polite and family-appropriate — a natural fit for women-only and family salons, where how you speak to customers matters.

  • You can audit every word

Every AI reply is saved in your dashboard, so you can see exactly what was said to each customer. Full transparency, always.

  • Our income is halal too

One flat monthly fee — never a percentage of your bookings, never interest, never a cut of your customers' money. If our earnings depended on your sales volume, we'd end up building for our revenue instead of your salon.

We're honest about the limits: Saponly is a strong, enforced, transparent process that you control — not a religious “certificate,” and we will never claim to be one. Scholars decide what is permissible; our job is to enforce it in software and leave you the audit trail. We'd rather earn your trust with a system you can inspect than a badge we can't back up.

Read our full values policy
Aligned with you

How we make money — and how we don't

When a tool earns from your bookings or your customers' data, its interests quietly compete with yours. Saponly earns one way only — so we win only when you do.

Our entire business model

One flat monthly subscription. That's it. No setup cut, no per-booking fee, no percentage of your sales.

  • Never a cut of your bookings

You keep 100% of what your customers pay you. We never take a commission on your revenue.

  • No interest, no riba

A flat fee for a service you use — not a loan, not interest, not a percentage. A halal billing model by design.

  • Never sell your data

Your customers' numbers and chats are yours. We don't sell them, rent them, or use them to train public AI.

  • Never run ads on your customers

No ads, and no promotions for other businesses sliding into your conversations. Your chat stays your chat.

  • Never list you beside rivals

Saponly is not a marketplace. We never show your customer another salon — your customers stay yours.

  • Never lock you in

No contracts, no exit fees. Cancel anytime and take your data with you.

Marketplaces and “free” tools earn from your bookings, your customers' card payments, or their data — a model that quietly pulls against you. Ours is simple and aligned: a flat fee for a service, the same halal model we'd want if we ran the salon ourselves.

Where Saponly fits

Saponly is a layer, not a replacement

Salon software moves fast, and a feature-by-feature table against named products goes stale the week you publish it. So here is the honest shape of the market instead — including what the alternatives do better than us.

A full salon operating system

the category Fresha, Booksy and Zenoti sit in

Running the whole business: the chair calendar, payments, staff, reporting, and in some cases a marketplace that brings you new clients.

Far deeper than us at the diary, payments and reporting. If you need one system to RUN the salon, buy that — not us. Several now ship their own AI and WhatsApp features as well; check their current plans yourself, because we do not track them for you.
If you already pay for one, check whether its own AI or WhatsApp add-on covers the questions that come before a booking — some sell that as a separate paid add-on.

A general WhatsApp automation platform

the category Wati and similar tools sit in

Any business that wants WhatsApp flows, broadcasts and agents — not salons specifically.

Flexible and powerful, and built for teams that want to design their own flows across many use cases.
It does not know YOUR services, prices, staff or hours unless you build and maintain all of that yourself.

Manual WhatsApp

what most salons actually do today

Answering every message yourself, on your own phone.

It is free, and nobody can misrepresent your salon but you.
It costs your evenings — and a message at 2am waits until morning.

Saponly

the front-desk layer

One narrow job: answering the repetitive WhatsApp questions from your own salon data, and collecting booking requests that YOU approve.

Salon-deep, halal-first, one flat fee with no commission — and it never confirms a booking on its own.
We do not take payments or sync with Fresha or Zenoti. Saponly can keep a simple booking diary for you, or leave your diary where it is and collect each customer's preferred time for you to confirm.

We deliberately do not publish a feature-by-feature table against named products. Their features change, and a stale table is a false claim. Compare their current plans yourself — and if a full salon operating system is what you actually need, buy that instead of us.

Voice notes and photos it can't make sense of are handed straight to you, with the original attached — it never guesses at what someone said.

One plan, so there is nothing to choose between. If your salon outgrows 1,000 conversations or 400 booking requests a month, message us and we will quote a bigger one.

No markup on WhatsApp.

Meta bills you directly for WhatsApp messages, at Meta's own published rate. We take no cut and add no markup — it never passes through us.

From 1 October 2026 Meta also charges for replies inside a customer's 24-hour window, at the same per-message rate as its utility messages. Meta bills your WhatsApp Business Account separately — the amount depends on your customers' country, the message type and Meta's rate at the time.

Saponly pauses its own automation at 1,000 chat windows a month, which limits the messages we send on your behalf. Meta's own billing is separate and is not something Saponly can cap for you.

So what does that actually come to?

Meta charges per message your salon sends, at its rate for your customers' country. Pick that country below to see the arithmetic at three volumes, including your plan's full conversation allowance. It is an estimate, not a quote: Meta sets the rate and can change it each quarter.

Customer conversationsMessages we sendMeta bills you
100A quiet month500$7.85
300A busier month1,500$24
1,000Your plan's full allowance5,000$79

Rate used: $0.0157 per message for United Arab Emirates, from Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform pricing calculator, checked 2026-09-30. Check it yourself — it's Meta's own page, not ours. whatsappbusiness.com/products/platform-pricing/

An illustration, not a limit: it assumes 5 messages sent per conversation, which we have not measured across salons yet. Meta bills every message delivered, so longer chats and the replies you send yourself add to it.

Appointment reminders are not in this table. They go out as WhatsApp utility templates, which Meta bills per message at the same rate, and only for bookings you have already approved.

None of this passes through Saponly, so there is nothing for us to mark up. That is the difference worth checking: a platform that bills you one combined figure is one you cannot audit — you can't see which part was Meta's rate and which part was theirs. Ours you can, because it isn't our invoice.

Every plan includes your own booking page

Services, prices, team and hours on one link — saponly.com/s/your-salon. Put it in your Instagram bio and WhatsApp profile. It keeps taking bookings even if WhatsApp is having a bad day, because it never touches WhatsApp.

FAQ

Questions salon owners ask us

Will I lose my WhatsApp number or my old chats?+

We check your number's eligibility during guided setup. Where Meta's official Coexistence flow is available, you keep your number and your old chats, and WhatsApp keeps working on your phone. We confirm what applies to your number before anything changes.

Does it replace my website or Fresha/Zenoti?+

No — keep them. Your booking software runs the calendar; Saponly answers the WhatsApp questions that come before every booking (prices, services, directions) and collects booking requests for you to confirm. When your diary lives elsewhere, Saponly never promises a time is free — your team confirms every request.

Can I leave and take my data with me?+

Yes, any time. One click downloads everything — services, customers, bookings, hours — as a single file. No lock-in, and you can cancel whenever you want.

I already send my own promotions — what does Saponly add?+

Keep sending them. Saponly even drafts a ready-to-send promo message from your current offer. The real win: every promo blast creates replies — "how much?", "any slots?" — often late at night. Saponly answers each one, day or night, so the customers your promo brings in actually book instead of going cold.

Does Saponly auto-confirm bookings?+

No. Saponly never confirms a booking on its own in V1. Everything a customer requests on WhatsApp arrives in your dashboard as a request.

Can I approve bookings first?+

Yes — that's the default and only behaviour. Every request waits for you to approve, reschedule, or decline before the customer is confirmed.

Does it work with WhatsApp?+

Yes. We check your salon's WhatsApp number for eligibility during guided setup, then confirm the supported connection options before making changes. Saponly uses the official Meta WhatsApp Cloud API.

My customers send voice notes. Can it handle those?+

Yes — in Arabic and in English. The voice note is transcribed and answered like any other message, so a customer who prefers to talk gets the same reply as one who types. If the audio is unclear, it doesn't guess: the voice note is handed to you with the original attached. It also looks at photos customers send — a colour, a style screenshot — instead of asking them to describe it in words.

Do you support Instagram DMs?+

Not yet — WhatsApp only for now, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight. WhatsApp is where the booking questions actually land for the salons we work with, and we would rather do one channel properly than two badly. Instagram DMs are on the roadmap; we don't put a date on things we haven't built.

Can it speak multiple languages?+

Yes. English and Arabic, with right-to-left rendering on the mini page. It replies in your salon's voice.

How much does it cost?+

US$99/month for the first 10 eligible Gulf founding salons, locked for the first 12 paid months. The standard plan is US$149/month. Guided setup is included. The 30 trial days start after a successful live test on your salon's own eligible WhatsApp number. Meta messaging charges are separate and may apply during the trial.

Will I receive a separate Meta or WhatsApp bill?+

Yes — from Meta, not from us. Meta messaging charges are separate from the Saponly subscription and may apply during the trial. The amount depends on Meta's current rates, message category and recipient country. We confirm the supported billing setup during guided setup.

Is it for small salons?+

Yes — small salons are exactly who we built Saponly for. Hair, nails, makeup, facial, and beauty studios across the Gulf. It's not a complicated salon ERP.

Will the AI invent prices or slots?+

It is built not to: Saponly answers strictly from the data you give it — services, prices, hours, employees, FAQs — and when it doesn't know something it says so and hands the chat to you. No AI is flawless, which is why you approve every booking yourself and can read every message it sent.

What about no-shows?+

Approved bookings can get 24-hour and 2-hour WhatsApp reminders — subject to WhatsApp template approval for your number — which helps cut no-shows. They go out when your WhatsApp is connected, your plan's included usage isn't used up, and (outside WhatsApp's 24-hour window) your reminder templates are approved by Meta. You always see the delivery status — and any failure — in the dashboard.

Is my WhatsApp number safe?+

Saponly runs through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform — no grey-zone automation. Where the official Coexistence flow is available for your number (we confirm during setup), you keep your number and old chats. You can disconnect anytime.

Will Meta ban my number?+

We use the official WhatsApp Business Platform — not unofficial browser automation, which is the usual cause of blocked numbers. Account quality still depends on compliant, customer-friendly messaging under Meta's policies; Saponly is built to keep you inside them.

Who is behind Saponly? Is it a real company?+

Saponly is founder-led — built and run by one developer who works only on salons, not a large support department. That is the honest picture, and it is also why you reach the person who wrote the software instead of a queue. Tap "Talk to support" to message directly.

What happens to my data if I leave?+

It stays yours. You can export or delete your salon's data whenever you want, and we never sell your data.

Can I talk to a real person before paying?+

Absolutely. Tap "Talk to support" and send us a message — no signup, no commitment. We'll answer your questions and even help you get set up.

Stop typing the same answers.

We put an AI receptionist on your WhatsApp — you don't set anything up. Free for the first 30 days. Cancel anytime.
